Paging Dr. Oz. You're needed to throw the PA-Senate race to Likely-Dem

While TFG’s preferred candidate, Sean Parnell, bowed out due to a custody battle, looks like the replacement is still in the thralls of Dear Leader. Seems like Mehmet Cengiz Öz will try his hand at winning the Republican primary in PA for the upcoming Senate race.

Oz made the announcement on his website earlier today, writing, “Today, America’s heartbeat is in a code red in need of a defibrillator to shock it back to life… I’m running for U.S. Senate to reignite our divine spark, bravely fight for freedom, and will tell it like it is.”

Dr. Oz is hiring aides and talking to GOP leaders in Pennsylvania. His links to the state are kinda there if you look hard enoughAside from just voting there last year, he's more than three decades removed from having a connection to the Keystone State.

Oz, an Ohio-born and Delaware-raised son of Turkish immigrants whose full name is Mehmet Cengiz Öz, has limited ties to the Keystone State aside from the graduate medical and business degrees he received at the University of Pennsylvania. Although a spokesperson for the doctor told the Beacon that Oz "has lived and voted in Pennsylvania … since last year," he is currently registered to vote in Bergen County, New Jersey.

Now Dr. Oz has a real MD from the U of PA while having a full-time surgical practice, and holds 11 patents for medical devices. In addition, he is a Professor of Surgery at Columbia Medical School, and directs the Cardiovascular Institute and Complementary Medicine Program at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

However, the Hippocratic Oath he took is entirely inconsistent with peddling quackery in order to make millions (~$19.5 million) off of desperate and/or gullible people. Relatedly, many of his colleagues tried to get him stripped of his academic appointments due to his behavior.

As described here and here, as well as in other publications, Dr. Oz has repeatedly shown disdain for science and for evidence-based medicine, as well as baseless and relentless opposition to the genetic engineering of food crops.  Worst of all, he has manifested an egregious lack of integrity by promoting quack treatments and cures in the interest of personal financial gain.

Oh, and from the pic at the top? Seems that a portion of the interview was cut out. The editors of "The Dr. Oz Show", edited out an interesting remark that Trump made. He said he kisses his 34-year-old daughter, Ivanka, as often as he can. Previously, he said that if Ivanka were not his daughter, he would like to date her.

“I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her,” he added.

IMO, either of the Democratic leading contenders, Lt. Gov. Fetterman or Rep. Lamb, will have an advantage over Oz. I mean, the “DOCTOR” said it would totally be cool to accept a 3% mortality rate among kids to reopen schools.

“...I just saw a nice piece in The Lancet [medical journal] arguing that the opening of schools may only cost us 2-3% in terms of total mortality. And you know, any life is a life lost, but to get every child back into a school where they're safely being educated and being fed and making the most out of their lives with a theoretical risk on the backside, it might be a tradeoff some folks would consider."

I can only imagine the attack ads.
